The joystick is sleek and tactile and offers maximum durability that you won't find anywhere else. I have been using a joystick ever since I've gotten war thunder and your right, compared to others like CFS3 it is a nightmare to config, but I've done it and now it works pretty good. You can make it better, but again, unlike other decent flight sims that are failty plug and play once past bindings, this one will require you to psend at least a few HOURS setting detailed things like non-linearity, deadzones, cutoffs, max and min axis settings, etc. On a side note, if you have not used a stick yet in WT, be prepared for a learning curve (huge) as this game had very poor flight stick controll, and it will NOT be compareable to the controll you might be used to from other decent flight sims.

Though why you would want to so that instead of just using one plus a keyboad it a bit beyond me. The T.Flight Hotas One provides the same level of realism. That said, WT does suport multiple input devices, so you might be able to get it working for the extra buttons and such.
